Jared Cipriano returned to Norwich in 2023 after being named the new Cadets Head Coach for the Women’s Soccer program.  “My family and I are excited to come back home to Vermont and be part of Norwich University again,” said Coach Cipriano. 

Jared, a Vermont native, graduated from Elmira College where he was an All-Conference performer on the field.  Cipriano then went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Athletic Leadership from Castleton University.  During his career, he has successfully worked with student-athletes at all levels.  Over the past decade he has served in numerous coaching roles with the Vermont Olympic Development Program and Far Post Soccer Club.  At the collegiate level, he has been a member of the Saint Michael’s College, University of Vermont, and Norwich University staffs.  While working with the men’s program at the University of Vermont, he helped the Catamounts become the America East Regular Season Co-Champions in 2019.  During his tenure at Saint Michael’s College, Cipriano helped produce three New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl selections. 

Prior to returning to Norwich, Cipriano served as the head coach for the Black Rock FC girls residential academy at High Mowing School. At Black Rock his focus was to he helped place international student-athletes at DI, DII, and DIII colleges and universities.  Currently, he also serves as the U19 Director of Coaching at Far Post Soccer Club.

He has continued to progressively advance his knowledge of the game while earning a United Soccer Coaches (USC) Level 2 GK Diploma, United Soccer Coaches National Diploma, and U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) C License.

“I look forward to creating an environment where student-athletes are driven to succeed and thrive, both on and off the field,” explained Coach Cipriano.  “I’m eager to build upon the current program and work towards achieving new heights in the seasons to come.”  Jared and his wife Sarah welcomed the newest member of the Cipriano family with the recent birth of their first child, Walker.
