Jason Providence is in his first season at UWF, joining the program as a volunteer assistant coach in Fall 2023. Providence came to UWF with over a decade of coaching experience as a head and assistant coach.

Prior to joining UWF, Providence worked as a club head coach for 12 years with Pensacola FC Soccer Club. During that time, he led his team to several championships including the Super Y League Nationals in 2014, a Florida State Cup Final 4 in 2019 and a Florida State Premier League in 2020.

Additionally, Providence served as an assistant with Pensacola FC in the WPSL. He took the team to finish second nationally in 2017 and 2018 before winning nationals in 2019.

In 2021, Providence took over as head coach in the UWS women’s league team. In that season, the team won league and conference championships. Providence was named Southeast Coach of the Year following the team’s success.

Providence played at the University of Mobile in Alabama where he got his degree in 2010.
