John Dominguez was named interim head women's soccer in Aug. 2021. The interim tag was lifted in May 2022.

The Lobos improved greatly from 2-11 overall in 2021 to 5-8-2 overall in 2022. Sul Ross State qualified for the American Southwest Conference in 2022, its first trip to the postseason since 2020.

Dominguez most recently coached a uScore and Legacy soccer club in Spring, Texas.

He is a former two-year starter for the Sul Ross State men's soccer team from 2018-2019. As a player, he totaled over 2,500 minutes played as a defender.

Dominguez followed up his playing career as a student assistant in 2020 under former head coach Marquis Muse.

Prior to Sul Ross State, he played at Western Texas College from 2016-2018 and was a regional finals runner-up.

Dominguez played semi professional soccer with Texas Hawks F.C. He also played club ball with the Albion Hurricanes FC and won multiple tournaments throughout the state of Texas.

The Katy, Texas, native graduated in 2018 from Western Texas College with an associate of arts before earning a degree in Kinesiology and Human Performance from Sul Ross in 2020.
