Jonathan Geist took over the Chestnut Hill College women's soccer program prior to the Spring 2020 season after. A Philadelphia Catholic League veteran, Coach Geist had past success at Archbishop Ryan High School (Assistant Coach, 2012/Head Coach, 2016) and Bishop Eustace Preparatory School (Assistant Coach, 2010-2012).
Coach Geist has spent his professional career educating through soccer. He has helped young athletes realize their potential, broaden their horizons, and create opportunities where they and their teammates can thrive. With the Ragdolls he enjoyed six Philadelphia Catholic League Championships (2012-2015, 2017, 2019) and seven District XII Championships (2012-2015, 2017-2019). Fittingly, his success at Archbishop Ryan High School and long-term role as Coach at Philadelphia Soccer Club and Parkwood Youth Organization where he served as both Coach and Tournament Director (2006-2017) earned him a Southeastern Pennsylvania Coach of the Year award in 2015 and Northeast Times Coach of the Year awards in 2016, 2018, and 2019. During that time, Coach Geist developed six all-state performers and three regional all-Americans. Additionally, he was part of the Starfinder Foundation (2007-2008), which worked on Urban Promise soccer camp programing. He has completed “D” and “E” classes with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and level “V” and “VI” classes with United Soccer Coaches (USC), while earning his coaching certification with the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA).
Outside of coaching, Geist is an experienced account manager and business analyst. He currently serves as a senior manager of reimbursement systems for Health Care Service Corporation (Chicago, Il.). He is currently working on an Executive MBA at Villanova University and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management, with a focus on economics and marketing, from Temple University (2004).
