Dr. Matus is an Associate professor of Business and has been at Wilkes for 17 years. He is in his third year as the Faculty Mentor for the Wilkes Women’s Soccer team.

Matus holds a Ph.D. from Old Dominion University, an MBA from Golden Gate University and Bachelor’s from King’s College. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the Board of Trustees at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.  Matus has published several peer reviewed journal articles as well as several peer reviewed papers at national conferences and meetings.  He currently serves as the Editor of the Transnational Journal of Business and is a Co-Editor of the International Journal of Health Planning and Management.  Matus previously served as a First Lieutenant in the USMC for three years and another seventeen years as a Medical Service Corps in the US Navy.  He and his wife reside in Dallas with their exchange student from Norway, Elvira Jorum.
