Kaine Baker enters his first year as the LC Women's Soccer Coach (2024). Last season (2023), Baker was going into his third year as the assistant coach for the Panther Men's Soccer team. In 2022, Baker alongside Ryan Dickson coached the LC Men's Soccer team to the programs first ever CCS Regular Season Championship. During his first year as an assistant coach in the spring of 2021, the Panthers defeated visiting Berea, 5-1, on Feb. 28, and then ended the season with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Piedmont on March 26 at Panther Field. During the fall of 2021, the Panthers went 7-5-1 and finished the season by posting a 3-1-1 record in their final five games.

Baker was a terrific defender for the Panthers from 2016-19. LaGrange qualified for the USA South tournament in three straight seasons from 2017-19. As a senior, Baker appeared in 17 games, making 16 starts, as the 2019 Panthers recorded a program-record 16 USA South points. His defensive prowess was a crucial reason behind LaGrange holding 11 opponents to two or less goals. During Baker’s junior campaign in 2018, the Panthers finished with 10 wins, the most for the program since the 1993 season and tied for the third most in a single season in program history. The Marietta, Georgia, native appeared in 12 games and made eight starts, scoring his first collegiate goal against Piedmont on Sept. 19, 2018. During his four-year career, Baker appeared in 43 games and made 24 starts. He earned a bachelor's degree in sports management from LaGrange in 2020.
