Brouwer comes to CC with six years of NCAA Division I coaching experience and has coached numerous current professional players.

A graduate of Middle Tennessee State, Brouwer was a stellar collegiate goalie, earning the 2015 Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year. She helped lead the Blue Raiders to a Sun Belt Conference regular season title in her freshman year and proceeded to start every match for the next three years. As a senior in 2015, Brouwer was named to the All-Conference USA First Team in addition to Defensive Player of the Year accolades after posting a .876 save percentage, second-best in team history, and 113 saves, No. 4 all-time.

After graduating in 2016, Brouwer was the starting goalkeeper in the 2016 UEFA Women's Champions League for Apollon Ladies F.C. in Limassol, Cyprus, and also played professionally in the United Stated for FC Kansas City. 

During her time at Purdue, the Boilermakers went 25-34-10, including a 15-4-3 season in 2021, where the team made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

She joined the Purdue staff in 2020 after coaching for three years as an assistant at Texas Tech University. Brouwer also had a stint at Drake University as a volunteer coach.
