Kelsie Espiritu-Tanabe joined her alma mater's Sports Medicine staff in the Summer of 2021.

The Moloka‘i native received a bachelor of arts in Kinesiology & Exercise Sciences with a focus in Sports Medicine from the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo in 2019. After graduation, Espiritu-Tanabe earned a master of science in Athletic Training on O‘ahu at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, where she also assisted the Rainbow Warriors/Wahine Athletics program as well as local high schools.

Espiritu-Tanabe participated in girls volleyball, softball and canoe paddling at Moloka‘i High School.
