The High Point University Athletic Department announced the hiring of Lauren Moore in January 2023. Moore will join the administration staff as the Senior Director of Communications & Creative Services while acting as the primary media relations contact for women's soccer and women's lacrosse.

"We are thrilled to have Lauren join our team," Deputy Athletic Director Drew Sanchez, said. "Her level of experience in athletic communications and her social media expertise will make her an outstanding resource for our department. I look forward to the tremendous leadership abilities Lauren will bring to our executive staff and the impact she will have on the future of our department. We are excited to welcome Lauren to the High Point University community."

Moore joins the staff after spending nearly three years at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla., where she served as an Athletic Communications Coordinator from February 2020 to July 2021 before being promoted to the Director of Athletic Communications following department-shattering social media numbers across Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. At Flagler, she was in charge of all social media content for all 19 varsity sports, while also creating graphics, videos, and taking photos at practices, games, and special events. Moore was responsible for writing feature stories to promote Flagler nationally, as well as recapping athletic events, such as men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, and softball. She acted as the lead SID for Flagler's first-ever appearance in the final for men's basketball (2021) and men's tennis (2022). She also covered the first Elite Eight appearance for women's tennis (2022) and helped in Flagler's inaugural men's and women's lacrosse seasons (2022).

Prior to Flagler, Moore spent time at Lincoln Memorial University as the sports communications graduate assistant, acting as the primary contact for men's and women's soccer, men's and women's bowling, men's volleyball, and softball. At LMU, she was heavily involved as the Railsplitters hosted their first NCAA Division II Softball Super Regional in 2019.

Before joining a collegiate athletic staff, the Tennessee native covered sports as a reporter and news assistant for several outlets in the Knoxville and Nashville areas. While working as a sports reporter for the Maryville Daily Times, she was responsible for all Tennessee women's basketball and softball coverage while being second in command at Tennessee football games. She also spent time covering the Tennessee Titans, Vanderbilt Commodores, and Chicago Cubs Double-A affiliate Tennessee Smokies.

Moore graduated with her bachelor's degree in Communications/Journalism and Electronic Media from Tennessee in 2015 before obtaining her master's degree in Business Administration/Sports Management in 2020 at Lincoln Memorial.
