Lauren Tate will be entering her first year as an assistant coach for the women's soccer program at the University of Charleston.

Lauren graduated from the University of West Alabama in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Whilst at West Alabama, she was presented the NCAA Division 2 Athletics Directors Association Academic Achievement Award, NSCAA Women’s College Division 2 Scholar All-South Region honorable mention and was on the Gulf South Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll from 2012 to 2015.

Following graduation from UWA, Lauren went on to obtain a Master of Science from King’s College London in Nutrition before later becoming a secondary school PE teacher. Outside of teaching Lauren played for and coached a local club team who reached the league cup final in the 2022/23 season, and recently completed her UEFA C Coaching License.
