A native of Ottawa, ON, Canada, Lo Rivas is in her second season as assistant coach for the HBU women's soccer program.

In 2022, the Huskies placed five on the all-Southland Conference team with four earning all-academic honors from a team that went 4-14-1, 4-8 SLC. Rivas joined Chris Dodd’s staff after serving the previous four years on campus as HBU’s FCA Director and three years as a volunteer assistant coach with the Huskies. 

A Rice Owls standout from 2012-2015, Rivas set a host of school records during her four year playing career. A four year starter, she is the current record holder for career goals (39), career assists (28), and game winning goals (14). She is the single season record holder for goals scored (14), assists (10), and consecutive games scored (7). She was a four-time All Conference USA player, three-time All-Central Region player, three-time Rice Owls Offensive MVP, two-time Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year and two-time Conference USA All-Academic team.

After graduating from Rice with a degree in sports management and sociology, Rivas played professionally in Iceland for UMF Selfoss where she led the team in goals (8) and minutes played (1707) and was named to the Team of the Week multiple times and was once named Player of the Week.

She and her husband, Eldred, were married in 2018 and are passionate about college athletes coming to know God and growing in relationship with Him.
