Louis Manoussos enters his sixth season in 2022 as the head coach of the CCNY women’s soccer program.

In 2018, the Beavers finished the season with a 10-6 (4-2) record, advancing to the CUNYAC semifinals for the third straight year. Three student-athletes were named to the All-CUNYAC First Team. The program saw 13 student-athletes named to the 2018 CUNYAC Fall Academic Honor Roll, while the team held a 3.36 cumulative GPA during the season.

In his second season at the helm, Manoussos led the program to another winning season, finishing with an 8-6-2 overall mark. The team advanced to the CUNYAC semifinals for the second consecutive year, while also earning the program’s first ever berth into the ECAC postseason tournament. In all, the program had four student-athletes be named as CUNYAC All-Conference selections and one recognized as an ECAC First-Team All-Star.

Statistically, the team had a very successful season in 2017, holding top-20 rankings in several of the NCAA statistical categories. The Beaver rank 5th in Scoring Offense (4.62), 7th in Points Per Game (11.92), 12th in Total Goals (60), 15th in Shots on Goal Per Game (12.46), 17th in Total Points (155), and 19th in Assists Per Game (2.69).

In his first season with the Beavers, the program went 9-8 overall and 3-3 CUNYAC play. Two student-athletes were named CUNYAC First Team All-Conference selections and one earned ECAC First Team honors. With that success, Manoussos was honored as the 2016 CUNYAC Coach of the Year.

Before CCNY, Manoussos served as the head coach of the New York Freedoms/Pancyprians Soccer Club. Under his coaching, the club won the 2012 Eastern New York State USASA State Cup (Cosmopolitan League) and qualified for the Regional Championship for the USASA.

Manoussos has also held collegiate coaching roles at Dowling College, as an assistant and at Pratt Institute as the head coach.

In addition to coaching collegiately, Manoussos has been a successful youth coach, coaching the Sachem Flames Premier Girls Team. He led both the U-18 and U-19 team to undefeated seasons. Before he took on the role of head coach for the U-18 and U-19 teams, he was the first professional coach hired for the Long Island Lady Riders in 2001. The team was a national semi-finalist after finishing with an 8-2 record.

Manoussos is married to Tracy and resides in Coram, New York.
