Coach Lucca Shimanuki originates from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Shimanuki moved to Tennessee in 2013 to pursue an education at Martin Methodist College. He also played college soccer as a goalkeeper for the Redhawks and was a part of the National Championship team his freshman year.

After earning his degree in 2017, Shimanuki coached high school girls soccer for a year at Fayeteville High School in Tennessee. Shimanuki moved to South Dakota in 2018 to continue his education in Education of Coaching Leadership, earning his master's degree in May of 2020. When attending Mount Marty, Shimanuki worked as graduate assistant and goalkeeper coach for the Lancers Men's Soccer team. Shimanuki spent the summer of 2019 playing for the NPSL team

Since moving to Minnesota in August, 2020, Shimanuki work as Director of Goalkeeping at Twin Cities Rush. Shimanuki looks to continue to grow in his coaching career as a member of the NCU soccer coaching staff.
