Maria Lingardo came to Creighton prior to the 2022-23 season after serving as a student athletic trainer in St. Louis. She was promoted to Assistant Athletic Trainer at the onset of the 2023-24 season, working specifically with Women's Soccer and Women's Tennis.

She helped with medical coverage for the men’s football team at Washington University in St. Louis for two seasons, as well as their men’s and women’s soccer teams. She assisted Saint Louis University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams in 2019-2020, before COVID ended their seasons early. She also completed a rotation at a local high school.

Lingardo earned her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science in 2019 and a Master of Athletic Training degree in 2020, both from Saint Louis University. 

Maria is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA), the Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA), and a professional rescuer through the American Red Cross.
