Maria Schmiedhofer joins the Gator family in her first season as Florida’s Director of Soccer Operations.

Maria “Schmies” Schmiedhofer attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2020. She then went on and received her MBA in Airline Management in ‘21. She previously worked at The Boeing Company in St. Louis, Mo.

Schmiedhofer played for Samantha Bohon at Embry-Riddle, earning recognition on five consecutive Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Rolls (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020). This is also where she met her now husband, Luis Olivier, who earned Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America honorable mention accolades while a member of Embry-Riddle’s baseball team.

In her free time, Schmiedhofer  enjoys playing pickle ball and beach volleyball. A native of Stockholm, Sweden, she also loves to go skiing, hiking and to do some baking.
