Hampton Roads native Matheau Hall will serve as interim head coach of the Hampton women’s soccer program in 2023.

He was a soccer standout at Landstown High before playing collegiate soccer at Grand Canyon. His love for the game opened doors for him to play professionally in international leagues in Denmark, Germany, Mexico as well as the MLS in the United States, which includes a stint with the Los Angeles Galaxy.

With his career as a professional and semi-pro soccer player behind him, Hall turned his energies to coaching. Hall volunteered his time at elementary schools across Norfolk. Hall spent time at the programs at Bayview, Crossroads and Richard Bowling Elementary schools one month at a time, coming three times a week over a three-week span.

He moved to the collegiate ranks, joining the Hampton women’s soccer program to share his expertise and knowledge of the game to the young Hampton squad. He now has the opportunity to improve the skills of young players on the collegiate level.
