Maya Etienne '22 is a volunteer assistant coach for USI Women's Soccer, working primarily with the goalkeepers. Etienne played for the USI Women's Soccer program from 2019-22 under Head Coach Eric Schoenstein, finishing her playing career at the top of USI record books.

While in a USI uniform, Etienne was a three-time Academic All-GLVC, two-time CSC Academic All-District, and OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree. On the field, Etienne was an All-GLVC Third Team and All-OVC Second Team selection.

Between the posts, Etienne played in 71 matches, tallying over 6,300 minutes, and posted a 0.76 goals against average. The former USI netminder made 308 saves toward a 0.849 save percentage. Etienne won 39 games with 36 shutouts.

In the USI records books, Etienne is first in career shutouts, second in goals against average, and third in career saves. In 2019, she set a single-season record with 11 clean sheets, helping lead USI to an NCAA II Tournament appearance.

Etienne is a Midland, Michigan native, where she lettered at Midland High School. At Midland, she was a first-team All-District, All-Region, All-State, and State Dream Team (Top 11) selection as a junior and senior. Etienne helped lead MHS to two district championships was selected as League MVP and United Soccer Coaches High School All-America Team as a senior. Etienne recorded 58 shutouts over her high school career.

Etienne was a computer information systems major at USI.
