Melissa Lamie will enter her 31st season as Grove City College's women's soccer head coach in 2023. She will also begin her seventh year as the College's athletic director for leadership development and senior women's administrator.

Since taking over prior to the 1993 season, Lamie has directed Grove City to 344 victories, seven Presidents' Athletic Conference championships and five invitations to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

During the spring 2021 season, Lamie guided Grove City to the conference's regular season title as well as a 9-0-1 regular season record. In fall 2021, Grove City went 10-8 overall and 7-2 in the league. The United Soccer Coaches honored the program with the Platinum Ethics and Sportsmanship Award following the season.

Senior defender Tirzah Lloyd earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors, as well as United Soccer Coaches All-Region and Scholar All-Region distinction.

In 2019, Lamie earned the conference's Coach of the Year award after guiding Grove City to its second straight conference title. Senior midfielder Ruby Mattson earned PAC Player of the Year, All-Great Lakes Region and All-ECAC. Meanwhile, junior Michaela Burke earned All-Great Lakes and Scholar All-Region.

Grove City returned to the top of the conference in 2018 by going 17-4-1 overall. The Wolverines upset defending national runner-up Chicago in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Senior Krista Heckman became the program's first All-American and also captured the PAC's Player of the Year award. The conference honored Lamie as its Coach of the Year.

Lamie earned PAC Coach of the Year honors in 2017 as Grove City tied its program record by winning 17 matches. The Wolverines advanced to the PAC title match for the sixth straight year and also reached the semifinals of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Championship Tournament.

Midfielder Lindsay Hutton earned the conference’s Player of the Year award following the 2017 season. Hutton, goalkeeper Trishae Winters and Mattson all earned United Soccer Coaches All-Great Lakes Region recognition.

In 2016, the Wolverines set a single-season program record with 17 wins. Hutton, Winters, Jordyn White and Lacy Harkrader all earned All-Great Lakes recognition.

In 2015, the Wolverines went 12-7-4 overall, reached the PAC Championship match, and advanced to the ECAC D-III South Semifinals. In Grove City's home win over Juniata during the ECAC Quarterfinals, Lamie earned her 250th career coaching victory. White earned NSCAA All-Region honors.

In 2013, Grove City posted a 12-9-2 overall record, including a 7-2 record in PAC action, and advanced to the semifinals of the ECAC Division III South Championship Tournament. Midfielder Sarah Cessar earned NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region First Team honors for the second-consecutive year, becoming the first Grove City player to do so.

In 2012, Grove City finished 16-4-2 overall, matching a school-record for wins, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championship Tournament for the first time in program history. She earned the PAC's Coach of the Year award for her efforts.

Grove City gave Lamie her 200th victory as women's soccer coach when the Wolverines downed Saint Vincent October 26, 2011.

The 2010 squad posted the program's ninth double-digit victory total in the last 11 years by going 12-7-2 overall. The Wolverines advanced to the semifinals of the ECAC Tournament.

Lamie earned PAC Coach of the Year in 2009 after guiding the Wolverines to a 7-0 PAC record and a berth in the ECAC Tournament. 

In 2007, Lamie directed Grove City to a then-school-record 16 wins and the top seed in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Southern Championship Tournament.

In 2004, Grove City went 14-6-2 and won the PAC's regular season title with a 9-1 record. Lamie earned the conference's Coach of the Year award following the season for her efforts. 

Under Lamie's guidance, Grove City became the first PAC women's soccer team to go 10-0 against conference opponents during the 2003 season. The Wolverines capped the year by earning their second consecutive berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament with a 16-4-1 record.

In 2000, Grove City earned its first-ever postseason invitation by qualifying for the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Championship Tournament. Two years later, the Wolverines earned the program's first-ever NCAA Division III Tournament berth.

In both 2002 and 2003, former standout Meg Tilley received CoSIDA Academic All-America honors. In 2009, six Grove City players achieved CoSIDA Academic All-District honors. 

A native of Denver, Colo., Lamie earned a bachelor of arts degree in physical education from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich. in 1992. In 1993, she completed her master of arts degree in physical education from Northern Colorado University. 

Lamie previously worked as Grove City's head men's and women's golf coach, directing Grove City's women's golf team to PAC titles in 2011, 2013 and 2014 and the program's first-ever NCAA Division III National Championship appearance in 2014.

She also coached the women's basketball team at Grove City from 1992 to 2006 and is that program's all-time wins leader with 157.

She lives in Pine Township with her husband Steve, the College's head men's basketball coach. They have three children: Melia, 22, and twins Caleb and Rayna, 12. Melia played four seasons at midfielder for the Wolverines.
