Former Lewis goalkeeper Monica Danek enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Flyers after spending the last three seasons on the Marian University staff.

Danek joined the Marian staff in 2014 and served as a graduate assistant for two seasons before being promoted to a full-time assistant in 2016.

Prior to her arrival on the Fond du Lac campus, Danek served as an assistant coach for Division III Benedictine in Lisle, Ill.

Danek has extensive club experience with Oshkosh United (2014-17), Chicago Fire Juniors West (2013-14) while serving as a camp coach for the University of Illinois Camp of Excellence (2013) and Nike Soccer Camps (2012-14).

She has been a part of the Olympic Development Program, serving as the Illinois ODP Staff Goalkeeper Coach since 2009 and was a member of the Region II Boys ODP Goalkeeping staff in 2011. Danek is also the Goalkeeper Coach for PAWS Goalkeeper Academy in Schaumburg, Ill.

Danek has both her E and D licenses from the US Soccer Federation (USSF) and has both a Level 1 and 2 diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
