Coach Melillo joins the Eastern University Women's Soccer staff after a successful playing career in college and abroad. 

She played two seasons of professional soccer in Italy. She spent a year and a half in Serie C at Aprilia Racing Femminile and six months in Serie B at Sassari Torres Femminile. While in Italy, she had experience coaching in the youth system. 

Originally from Essex County, N.J., Melillo starred for both Nutley High School and her TSF Academy team. IN her high school career, she scored 53 goals and added 47 assists and earned All-State Honors in her final two seasons. She was selected to the Super Y National ODP.

She played three seasons at Division I Troy University and a single season at Division II Saint Leo University. In her final season at Troy, she scored four goals and added six assists. In her one season at Saint Leo, she scored five goals and added 10 assists and earned All-South Region Honors while helping the Lions to a 13-4-1 mark. She suffered a season-ending injury at Saint Leo and returned to Troy to pursue graduate work and play a final season. 

Melillo will assist Coach Shanahan in all aspects of the program.
