Nate Nester MS, LAT, ATC, PES joined the Messiah University sports medicine staff in the fall of 2022.

Nate graduated from Messiah in 2014 and earned his master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania in 2016. He comes to Messiah University after a four-year stint at Dickinson College where he was able to develop a performance-based approach to athletic training centered around biomechanics and bioenergetics alongside his friend and mentor Adam Richmond.

Nate has also served the athletic training profession at the state level for the past 7 years while serving on various committees for the Pennsylvania Athletic Training Society (PATS). He has served as the assistant Audio/Visual Chair, Honors and Awards Committee member, Program Committee co-chair, and most recently on the PATS Executive Board as Parliamentarian. 

He is excited to join the sports medicine staff at Messiah where his primary responsibilities will be women’s soccer, men’s basketball, and baseball.

He currently resides in Mechanicsburg with his wife, Whitney, their son Baker, and their dog, Roman.
