Nathan Stockie is in his second year as an assistant coach with the Texas State soccer team. His primary duties with the program will be coaching the goalkeepers.

In 2022, Stockie's coaching helped the Bobcats record five shutouts which was the most since the 2019 campaign. Katelyn Chrisman recorded four of the shutouts with her total tying for the second most in program history for a sophomore goalkeeper.

Stockie arrives in Central Texas after serving the past five years on staff at Lamar. The 2021 season saw him take over the tactical and technical training of the defense which led to the Cardinals posting a 0.56 GAA in conference play.

He was primarily responsible for the training of goalkeepers which led to the best GAA (0.90) and shutouts (10) in program history in 2017. Stockie's coaching led to four all-conference honors for Lauren Lovejoy (2017), Sandra Nygaard (2018) and Nichole Paris (2020 & 2021).

Stockie's coaching was integral in seeing Lamar reach the NCAA Tournament for the first-time ever in 2017. That squad finished with an 18-4-1 record, set a program record with a 12-match winning streak and highest RPI ever at 70. He helped guide the Cardinals to a 16-7 record and tie the program record winning streak during the 2019 season.

Stockie played professionally in Finland for Jippo Joensuu and PEPO Lappeenranta. He appeared in 50 matches over three seasons.

He played collegiately at Long Island University. For the Blackbirds, Stockie appeared in 20 matches between the post. His senior season saw him finish fourth in the nation with 6.2 saver per match and he recorded 15 saves against Quinnipiac, which were the most in a single match during the 2012 season.

Stockie graduated from Long Island with a bachelor's degree in sport science. He was a member of the LIU honors program and earned NEC Academic Honor Roll accolades. While at Lamar, he received his master's degree in kinesiology.
