Nicole Krueger enters her second year as an assistant coach for the IUP women's soccer program in 2023, joining head coach Noreen Herlihy.

IUP went 5-4-8 in 2022, just missing a spot int he conference tournament with a high number of draws. The Crimson Hawks led the PSAC in game-tying goals (6), while landing three players among the All-PSAC West Selections (Hannah Scardina, Aislinn Meaney, Cassidy Zandier). 

Kruger played a key role in recruiting an incoming class 19 newcomers for the 2023 season.

Krueger arrived in Indiana after spending the last six seasons with Herlihy at the University of Akron, where she was involved in all facets of the Zips program. She helped Herlihy take Akron to three MAC tournament appearances, doubling the amount the team had in its entire history.

Krueger started at Akron as a graduate assistant in 2016 and moved into a full-time role in 2018. 

Krueger played for Herlihy for four years at Slippery Rock. While at The Rock, she helped her team to a PSAC Championship, three NCAA Sweet 16 appearances, and an NCAA Elite 8 appearance. In her senior year, she earned several honors, including Capital One Academic All-American and PSAC Top 10 Scholar Athlete. 

She graduated from Slippery Rock in 2015 at the top of her class with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. She completed her Masters in Exercise Physiology and Adult Fitness at Akron in 2018. 

After graduating from SRU, Krueger worked as a personal trainer and youth soccer coach in several locales across the country, including her hometown of Scottsdale, Arizona.
