Peter Krech '09 returned to his alma mater in July 2014 to take over the reigns of the Seahawk women's soccer team, becoming the fifth head coach since the program went varsity in 1985. Krech currently ranks second all-time with 65 career victories, moving into the No. 2 spot with his 49th career win on September 4, 2021, with a 1-0 win over Marymount (Va.) University and surpassing former skipper Brianne Weaver '00, who notched 48 triumphs in six seasons (2006-2011).
Krech became the advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in 2020-21. Under his guidance, SAAC has continued Halloween at JLR in October, Adopt-a-Family in December, and Mental Health Week in April while implementing a Diversity Night in November and bringing back Special Olympics Field Day during the spring semester.
