Quinn Hoelzer joined the Nevada soccer staff in 2023 and enters his second season on staff.

Not only is he vital on the field for Nevada soccer, he plays a critical role behind-the-scenes. Hoelzer helps break down film and coordinates community events for Nevada soccer.

In 2023, Nevada soccer saw one of the best turnaround seasons in program history. After winning just three wins in 2022, Hoelzer was a part of a staff that helped Nevada improve to six wins and qualify for its first Mountain West Tournament in a decade in 2023. The 2023 team finished in the top eight in multiple categories in program history, including goals (24), assists (18) and shutouts.

Hoelzer most recently served as a men’s soccer assistant coach at Sierra Nevada University, where he led training sessions both in the weight room and on the soccer field. He also played a key role in recruitment and player acquisition.

As an alum of the University of Nevada, Hoelzer served as the president and head coach for the Pack’s men’s soccer club during his time as a student. In his role, Hoelzer organized a charitable soccer clothing equipment drive to donate soccer clothes and equipment to local low resource communities.

Hoelzer worked as an Equipment Manager for Reno 1868 FC, the former professional soccer team in Reno, during the 2017-18 season. He has been the Director of Soccer Operations and Scout for Path2Pro since 2018.
