Rachel Caspers enters her thirteenth year in 2023-24 at Upper Iowa University as the Senior Assistant Athletic Trainer, a position she was promoted to after seven years as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Caspers is also an adjunct instructor in the EXSS department on campus teaching Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries.

Prior to coming to Upper Iowa, Caspers was a graduate assistant at Drake University working with the volleyball, track & field, and men’s tennis teams. While at Drake, she earned a master's degree in public administration with an emphasis in health care administration in 2011.

Caspers received her Bachelor of Arts in athletic training in 2009 from Central College in Pella, Iowa. While at Central, Caspers covered numerous sports, was a member of the Dutch track & field team, as well as studied abroad in Bangor, Wales.

Caspers is originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She and her husband Jon have a little girl named Leighton.
