Rachel Jones joined the University at Albany strength and conditioning staff in the summer of 2018.

She most recently had served as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in nearby Troy, N.Y., since 2014. At RPI, Jones was the head strength coach for women’s ice hockey, a Division I program, as well as softball, baseball, women’s soccer and tennis. She also assisted with the football team.

Prior to that, Jones had worked at Binghamton University as an assistant for one year. She was the main strength coach for women’s tennis and assisted with the other 20 varsity programs.

A 2012 graduate of the University of Delaware with a degree in Exercise Science Physiology, Jones was a strength and conditioning intern with the Blue Hens and a graduate assistant at Delta State University. She also has a master’s in Exercise Science from SUNY Cortland.
