Rob Samuels joined the women's soccer coaching staff at his alma mater in 2021.
Lake Forest is 20-12-4 overall and 13-2-1 in Midwest Conference play in Samuel's two years with the program. The Foresters finished second in the league standings both seasons and outscored opponents 32-3 in 16 conference contests. Five players on the team earned First Team All-MWC honors in 2022, including two-time MWC Defensive Player of the Year Maggie Kersting and MWC Newcomer of the Year Anna Gracia. The Foresters have garnered 11 all-conference accolades, including nine first team selections, in the last two seasons.
Samuels' coaching career includes 11 years at the youth level - five with the Kenosha Area Soccer League and six with the Kenosha Crew.
A 2011 inductee into the Forester Athletic Hall of Fame, Samuels ranks third in Forester men's soccer history with 43 goals and 108 points. He was a four-time first team all-conference honoree and helped lead the team to a pair of league titles while playing with current head women's soccer coach T.R. Bell and for current assistant women's soccer coach Ed Kositzki.
Samuels is also an information technology specialist and resides in Old Mill Creek, Illinois.
