Shane Buchman was hired as an assistant athletic trainer at VMI in the summer of 2023. He will work with the Keydet women's soccer and baseball teams. 

Buchman earned his bachelor’s of science degree in exercise science with a specialization in athletic training and master’s of athletic training degree from Lock Haven University, highlighted by studies in Advanced Human Anatomy, Biomechanics and Biomechanics of Injury.

This spring Buchman worked in the Southern Conference with the Wofford College baseball team. Previously, he performed supplemental rotations in 2022 and also worked with the Pennsylvania College of Technology’s men’s and women’s soccer programs, the Lock Haven men’s and women’s wrestling teams and at the Williamsport Area Middle and High Schools.
