Silje Storstrand '13/17M joined Averett University as an assistant coach for Sports Performance in fall 2022.

Storstrand has served as a personal trainer and operations manager for Silly Fitness Personal Training Studio since March 19 and has worked as a personal trainer since 2013. In addition, Storstrand has also been an adjunct professor at Averett.

A native of Bergin, Norway, Storstrand was a four-year member of the Averett women's soccer program and earned academic all-conference honors while helping the Cougars win their first USA South Athletic Conference title and NCAA Tournament berth in program history. Storstrand earned her Bachelor of Science in physical education and personal training from Averett in 2013 and a Master of Business Administration from Averett in 2017. She completed her Doctor of Education in organizational leadership from Gardner-Webb University in 2020. Storstrand has her personal trainer certificate (expert level).
