Following in the footsteps of her godmother, Ashely Riggs, who coached at Meredith, Wooten comes to our program following 4 years as a goalkeeper at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her tenure and UNC, she was able to play and grow with some of the top players from around the country and world, leading to an ACC tournament win as well as a visit to the NCAA Final Four. Graduating in 2019 with a Bachelors of Exercise and Sports Science, Sydney is en route to get her RN and eventually Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner degree. Additionally, the Raleigh, N.C. native spent 4 years (2014-2019) as the Associate Director of Goalkeeping for UNCs Girls Soccer Camps as well as a coach for Merediths soccer camps from 2011-2015.
