Sport Administrator for Men’s Ice Hockey, Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving, Softball, and Women's Soccer
Toni Rogers was promoted to Colgate’s Deputy Athletics Director for Internal Operations/Senior Woman Administrator in February 2024.
Rogers served as the Senior Associate Athletics Director, Student-Athlete Services & Compliance, after being promoted in July 2022. In this role, she was responsible for the management and oversight of the department's compliance program and student-athlete support services, as well as lead the Division's efforts relating to gender equity, Title IX, and strategic planning. Rogers joined Colgate Athletics in December of 2018 as the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services.
Rogers is coming off a four-year term in the same position at Cal State Fullerton. While with the Titans, Rogers served as a member of the athletic department's management team and was responsible for compliance-related needs of 15 varsity sports competing in the Big West Conference. She was the softball program supervisor and provided daily oversight of the $3.8-million athletics scholarship program.
"We are so pleased to welcome Toni to our Colgate Athletics team," said Dr. Nicki W. Moore, Colgate Vice President and Director of Athletics. "Her commitment to running a strong compliance program along with her clear passion for enhancing the student-athlete experience aligns well with our division's values and vision."
Moore believes Rogers is the perfect candidate to lead such an operation so critical to the success Colgate Athletics.
"Not only is this role responsible for monitoring rules compliance and educating both internal and external constituents to prevent and, when necessary, report violations," Moore said. "It also is a position charged to advocate for student-athlete opportunities and to help us advance legislatively to continuously improve the experience we provide student-athletes.
"Toni's experience in compliance coupled with her experience as a sport administrator position her well for this important role."
Robust Rules Monitoring
Rogers served one year as Fullerton's Interim Senior Woman Administrator and also served as the acting Athletics Housing liaison, as well as overseeing Title IX, equity and student conduct concerns. She spent significant time establishing a robust rules monitoring system and reshaping internal policies and procedures, particularly those surrounding academic eligibility certification, the athletics financial aid program and the implementation of a time-management plan addressing the demands placed on student-athletes.
"I am excited for the opportunity to join Dr. Moore and her staff in developing and executing a vision to help to lead Colgate Athletics and our student-athletes to holistic success in the years to come," Rogers said. "Not only do I have the chance to return to my home state of New York, but am humbled to be able to contribute positively to this department and be a part of the faculty at an institution with such a strong history of academic and athletic success.
"I cannot wait to hit the ground running under the leadership of Dr. Moore, who is committed to our growth as professionals in this field, as we work together to enhance the experience of our student-athletes and the greater Colgate community."
A native of Rochester, New York, Rogers was the Compliance Director at Canisius College in Buffalo from 2012-14 after serving as both a senior compliance intern and then Compliance Coordinator at The Ohio State University from 2010-12.
Rogers earned her undergraduate degree from Baldwin Wallace University in 2010, and her master's degree from Ohio State in 2011.
