Coach Wayne Slusser was named the Interim Head Women’s Soccer Coach in the summer of 2016, after taking of over for Chris Davis, who started the program back in the mid-1990’s. After his first season, his body work spoke for itself as the interim tag was removed and he became the Head Women’s Soccer Coach.

Prior to his arrival at CSU, Slusser spent ten years developing young soccer players of all skills at the youth, junior high and senior high levels, gaining experience by coaching a number of travel soccer teams.

Going to college at Oklahoma University, Wayne earned a BA in Environmental Design. From there, he continued his education earning his M.Div. from Baptist Bible Theological Seminary, Missouri and has recently earned his Ph.D from Baptist Bible Seminary.

He serves as the Seminary Dean at Baptist Bible Seminary where he is also a Professor of New Testament and Greek.

Wayne lives in the Clarks Summit area with his wife, Melissa, and his two sons, Jack and Nick.
