William Kelly begins his second season as an athletic training graduate assistant at Nichols College in 2020-21. He works primarily with the football, women’s volleyball, and baseball programs.

Kelly graduated from Bridgewater State University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in May, 2019. He spent the 2018 calendar year working with the Brown University football team performing orthopedic evaluations and providing care to student-athletes during both games and practices. Kelly – who traveled with the Bears during the season – also implemented therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation plans, assisted in concussion spotting, and administered extensive soft tissue and joint mobilizations.  

During his senior year, Kelly worked with the Bryant University baseball and women’s basketball teams, providing care at both games and practices. He implemented therapeutic exercise and rehab protocol for specific sports and positions, administered therapeutic modalities to aid recovery, and performed sport specific soft tissue for pitchers.

Kelly – who also spent time during his junior year working with the student-athletes at Braintree High School – holds both CPR and CSCS certifications and is also a member of both NATA and EATA. In his free time, Kelly is a baseball umpire for the Rhode Island Amateur Baseball Umpire Association.
