Abraham Lopez-Mendoza was named assistant coach of the RMU men's soccer program Feb. 8, 2023.
"I am delighted to have Abraham join our staff at Robert Morris," Potter said. "Abraham is a great young coach and a man of high character. He will connect well with our student-athletes and will have a great impact in all areas of the program."

Presbyterian made its seventh appearance in the Big South Tournament while recording it's second highest seed in the tourney.
"I'm excited to start a new challenge at Robert Morris," Lopez said. "Thank you to Coach Potter for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this program that has a history of winning and competing at the highest level. I look forward to the spring semester to help develop the team in preparations for the fall 2023."

Lopez was a part of a coaching staff that was named Mid-South Conference Coaching Staff of the Year. He helped produce 11 All-Conference players and two All-Americans during that stretch.
He began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach at LSU Shreveport for two years. At LSUS, he took part in being the video analysis, created practice outlines, and recruiting. During his time with the Pilots, LSUS won a Red River Conference regular-season title. For the first time in the program's history, the Pilots reached the national tournament and were ranked in the NAIA Top 25 in both seasons.
Lopez is a 2016 graduate of UCF, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and in 2020 earned a Master's in Health Administration from LSU Shreveport.
