Casey Moore is currently the all-time wins leader at Alvernia University for men’s soccer and has the highest winning percentage in program history. He has been a part of Alvernia University’s coaching staff since the 2004 season. Serving as an assistant from 2004 – 2007, Moore has been at the helm of the Golden Wolves soccer program since 2008. Since 2015, the team has posted one of the highest strength of schedules (.SOS) in the nation.
Moore has coached many USC All-Americans, D3 Soccer.com All-Americans, USC Regional All-Americans, MAC Conference Players of the Year, ECAC MVP’s, and MAC All-Conference honorees throughout his coaching tenure at Alvernia., While individual awards do not really concern Moore, player development has been a key component to the team success at Alvernia. The focus for his program is centered around a culture of excellence with a strong emphasis on family and relationships. The Golden Wolves seek to strengthen bonds and relationships between themselves daily. The brotherhood between players is something that will last forever. Winning is certainly a goal within the program, but it is not the ultimate purpose that drives the team to success. Winning becomes a byproduct of the actions and decisions of the team. The team looks to honor each other by pursuing excellence through our culture and values. Academics have become a big priority under Moore’s tenure. Alvernia's soccer program has consistently posted one of the highest team GPA’s out of all the male sports programs at Alvernia University. The team has earned the USC Team Academic Award every year since 2012. On top of that, his players have won numerous academic awards including multiple MAC Scholar-Athletes, USC Scholar All Americans, USC Scholar All Region, and All MAC Academic honors.
