Justin Allegra has been a part of Alvernia University since 2001, and with the Alvernia University’s men's soccer coaching staff since 2015. Allegra serves as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Men’s Soccer program. The Golden Wolves are two-time ECAC Champions.
During the 2015 season, the Golden Wolves captured the ECAC South Championship for the 2nd time in 4 years.
Allegra played at all soccer levels including state, regional, and national level soccer teams. Allegra played with many players in the MLS and overseas. Allegra was a two-sport player at Archbishop Ryan who was a 2nd and 3rd team All Catholic player in 2000 and 2001. Allegra was on the 1998 PCL Cathloic League Championship team. Allegra also was a 2nd team All Catholic in 2000 and 2001 for tennis.
Allegra was a two-sport standout at Alvernia where he was captain of both soccer and tennis programs. In soccer, Allegra was a 4-year starter for the then Crusaders, team captain, and an All PAC Conference selection. Allegra is the first ever two-sport Hall of Fame athlete at Alvernia. Allegra is a three-time All-PAC player. He was named to the First Team in 2002 and Second Team in 2003 and 2004. In Alvernia’s record book, Allegra is fourth in goals with 26, first in assists with 35, and first in points with 87. Allegra is the single-season assist record holder with 10 in 2003. Allegra was also a 3-time All Pac Conference player in tennis for singles and doubles.
Allegra has been consistent with his schoolwork in which he won the All PAC Academic Scholar Award all 4 years at Alvernia.
Allegra has coached at all levels. Allegra currently coaches the Springfield elite travel soccer team the past 4 years. Allegra also coaches the Upper Moreland high school boys varsity soccer team. Allegra’s team were the 2020 District Champions and took his team to the final four in the PIAA state championship.
Allega also currently serves as a high school English and special education teacher at Upper Moreland high school. Allegra also has a Master’s Degree in Integrating Technology into the classroom from Ashford University. Allegra, his wife Kristen, and son Bradley live in Upper Dublin, PA
