Cole Schwartz will embark on his first season as Hamline University assistant men's soccer coach in 2023.

"Cole brings a diverse understanding of soccer to the program," said head men's soccer coach Tyler Oliver. "He accomplished a lot in the MIAC, and cannot wait to return to the conference with Hamline."

Schwartz was a three-year member of the Gustavus Adolphus men's soccer program from 2019-2021 after he transferred from NCAA Division I Radford University. He accumulated 34 goals and 11 assists for 79 points over 43 career games played as a forward for the Gusties. The 2019 season resulted in 24 goals and seven assists for 55 points for Schwartz, which ranked third in NCAA Division III. The Jakarta, Indonesia native led Gustavus to the 2019 MIAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships, and to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Tournament Second Round.

He earned two COSIDA Academic All-American accolades, as well as spots on the 2019 United Soccer Coaches All-American First Team, and the 2019 MIAC Men's Soccer All-Conference Team.

Schwartz obtained his bachelor's degree in health and physical education/coaching from Gustavus Adolphus in December 2021.
