Conor Cable is entering his fourth season as an assistant coach of the Storm men's soccer program in 2023.

Cable joined Lake Erie staff as Graduate Assistant in August 2019. Prior to Lake Erie Cable was a four-year starting goalkeeper at William Woods University in Missouri where he captained the team from Spring Season, Freshman Year.

During that time he was awarded First-team all-conference three times, and national defensive player of the week. Senior year, the Owls went unbeaten in conference and finished as the #1 seed and made the national tournament.

At the end of his collegiate career, Cable holds the record for Single Season Shutouts (9) and a Career record of saves (234) and Shutouts (27). Cable also played for The Demize NPSL in the summer of 2017.

The 2019 season Cable helped with the success of the storm going 18-3 and winning their first Regular Season Title as well as being the number #1 seed in Super Region 3 and having their first appearance at the NCAA Tournament. Working directly with the goalkeepers, Cable saw starting keeper Tom John win various awards including first team all-conference, first team all-region and D2 Conference Commissioners Association Second-team all-american. The success of the season saw the Lake Erie coaching staff be awarded United Soccer Coaches Regional Staff of the year. 

During the 2021 season, Cable played another role in a historic season for the storm, with the team going 16-4-1 winning both the GMAC regular season and conference tournament. The Storm also won their first game in Nationals as the #2 seed in Super Region 3 where they knocked off Lewis University 2-1. Success happened again for Tom John who was named First Team All-Conference in his final season with the storm. 

Following Cable's collegiate career, in the Summer of 2021 Cable played for Cleveland SC in the NPSL. The role included working with goalkeepers as well as playing, which saw Cleveland win the Rust Belt Conference, Midwest Region and played in the National Semi-Finals. Cable was awarded National XI selection for the season and was the recipient of the NPSL Golden Glove. During the 2022 season, Cable helped lead his team to a second straight Rust Belt Conference title. Cleveland SC would advance to the national Quarter-Finals and Cable would earn All-Region honors.

After graduating WWU with a double major in Exercise Science and Sports Management, Cable coached for Global Premier Soccer, Bayern Munich's North American Partner in North Carolina where he was Director of the Juniors/Academy and Head Goalkeeper Coach. 

Cable is from Spalding, England, and spent his time growing up in the youth system, playing for a variety of Clubs including Norwich City and Cardiff City, and spent his Youth Team days at Bristol City. Cable holds an MBA with a concentration in Healthcare administration. Cable also holds a US Soccer D license and United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper Licenses.
