Unverzagt serves as the Athletic Trainer for M. Soccer, Swimming, & Diving, Club Ice Hockey, Baseball and Tennis.

Daniel Unverzagt joined the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy as an Assistant Athletic Trianer in November 2012.  His primary sport responsibilities include soccer, track and field, swimming and diving, ice hockey (club), baseball and tennis. Unverzagt will also serve as a faculty instructor for first aid and ships medicine.

Prior to arriving at Kings Point, Unverzagt was the Associate Head Athletic Trainer at Queens College from 2005-11. While at Queens he covered the men's basketball, baseball, men's and women's  tennis, volleyball, and water polo teams. He was also an assistant athletic trainer at Hofstra University in 2004-05, working with men's lacrosse and field hockey.

Unverzagt attended graduate school at Manhattan College during 2003-04 and while working towards a MS in Edcuation / Administration also served as the trainer for the Jaspers' men's soccer and men's lacrosse teams.  He earned a BS in Sport Medicine / Athletic Training at Northern Vermont University in 1997 and was a student athletic trainer for the ice hockey, men's basketball, baseball, football teams.

Unverzagt is a licensed athletic trainer in both New York and North Carolina as well as a certified Red Cross instructor and a licensed EMT. He resides in Oceanside, NY with his wife, Suzanne and sons, Ethan and Sean.
