Gabby Lotter joined the Piedmont staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in the spring of 2023. Lotter came to Piedmont after serving as an Intern Athletic Trainer at Nicholls State University from July through December 2022. 

In her first semester at Piedmont, Lotter primarily worked with Piedmont's men's basketball and baseball, complete with the baseball team earning the 2023 CCS tournament championship.

Lotter joined Piedmont after working with the Nicholls State Division I athletic program as an intern athletic trainer for six months. She was a primary contact for softball while also assisting with football, cross country, baseball and women's soccer. 

While at Piedmont, Lotter served as a graduate athletic training student working with the softball program in 2022. The team won the USA South Tournament Championship as Lotter assisted in all aspects of evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for the team. 

She was a four-year member of the women's soccer team at Piedmont helping lead the Lady Lions to two USA South Championships during her career. She provided the assist on the game-winning goal in the 2018 USA South Championship and was a two-time USA South All-Academic team member.

Lotter was also a team captain in 2020 and served as a student assistant coach in the 2021 season. 

Lotter earned her bachelor of science in exercise and sports science from Piedmont College in 2019 and her master of science in athletic training from Piedmont University in 2022.

She is certified through the BOC and licensed as an Athletic Trainer. A member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), she is also pursuing her CSCS.
