·     Career Record – 225-192-34 (.537) – 24 years

·     All-time leader in wins at DeSales (225).

·     Won five MAC Freedom Championships (’05, ’06, ’07, ’10, ’17).

Coaching at DeSales

Coach Crampton has been a fixture on the DeSales sidelines over the past 23 years leading DSU to five MAC Freedom Championships and six appearances in the NCAA Tournament.  He is DSU’s all-time leader in wins with 225.

Crampton has guided the Bulldogs to 11 10+ win seasons and three seasons with 15 wins.  DSU has finished .500 or better in 15 of 23 years under Crampton.  He has been named the MAC Freedom Coach of the Year five times.

Under Crampton, DeSales has seen 79 players earn All-MAC Freedom honors.  Five players have earned MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Year honors and two have been named the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year.  Fourteen players have been named All-Region and five players have been named All-Americans including two Academic All-Americans.

·       Randy Sturm ’07 – 4x All-MAC Freedom including First-Team 3x…2x MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Year…2x All-Region…2x Academic All-District…2nd-Team Academic All-American in 2006…Third-Team All-American in 2006…MAC Scholar-Athlete in 2006…MAC All-Century Team…DeSales Hall of Fame and MAC Hall of Fame…57 goals and 25 assists for 139 points.

·       Justin Habick ’19 – 2x All-MAC Freedom including First-Team once…named Academic All-MAC in 2017…18 career goals.

·       Sean Tunney ’21 – 3x All-MAC Freedom including First-Team once…named United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third-Team as a freshman….finished career with 10 goals and two assists for 22 points.

Playing Career

Crampton's stellar playing career started at Mercer County Community College where he led the team to the NJCAA National Championship in 1991 and was named an All-American in 1992. He was honored for his achievements at MCCC when he is inducted into the Mercer County Community College Hall of Fame in 2009.

Crampton then transferred to Elizabethtown College and won two MAC Championships. He was named the MAC MVP and was named to the All-American team in 1994.  He was inducted into the Ira R. Herr Athletic Hall of Fame at Elizabethtown College in 2017.

Prior to his college career, Crampton played with the Republic of Ireland Amateur National Team and has played professionally with the Reading Rage in the USL league in Reading.

Coaching Certifications

·       Holds NSCAA National, Advanced National, and Premier coaching diplomas passing all three with distinction.

·       Union of European Football Association “UEFA” A license, second highest certification in the world.

·       Pennsylvania Technical Director and national staff coach for the NSCAA.

Personal

Crampton resides in Breinigsville, PA with his wife Lina, step-son Anthony, and daughter Catherine, who is a first-year student at DeSales this Fall.
