Jay Roundtree joined the San Francisco State coaching staff ahead of the 2023 season. He brings over a decade of coaching experience across various levels.

Roundtree has served as a personal soccer coach since 2017. He was also a coach for FC Royale from 2018 to 2021, where he planned team trainings, games, and team building events. He was a summer soccer coach in the summers of 2017-19 for Eddie Sotto Summer Soccer Camp and FC Royale Summer Soccer Camp. Roundtree got his coaching start as the varsity girls soccer goalkeepers coach at his alma mater, Bear River HS in Grass Valley, from 2012-13. 

In 2020, Roundtree earned his BA from University of San Francisco, where he was also a member of the men's soccer team.
