Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics has announced the promotion of Myles Kendrick to the role of Director of Facilities and Game Operations. Kendrick came to LR as a graduate assistant in the summer but was quickly promoted to a full-time position.

"Myles has all the characteristics we are looking for in this position," said Justin Hay, Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations. "He has shown a tremendous work ethic and high-level skill set for the position and no one is more deserving of this promotion."

"It means everything to know that the hard work has not gone unnoticed," said Kendrick. "I cannot thank Kim Pate, Justin and the whole athletic administration enough for trusting me to step into this full-time position. At this point in my career, being able to gain vital experience in collegiate athletics, continue my education, and build relationships with the great people of LR is such a blessing from God. I am excited for this new chapter in my career."

Kendrick oversees all athletic facilities on a day-to-day basis in his position and assists in overseeing capital projects as well. He coordinates gameday operations for all of Lenoir-Rhyne's 23 NCAA sports and scheduling of facilities. Kendrick also manages a team of interns and work study workers.

Kendrick started with the Bears in the summer and was briefly named Interim Director of Athletic Facilities and Gameday Operations before formally being announced as a full-time staff member. He will continue to oversee all facilities and has helped with the current construction at Durham Field (baseball) as well as the summer and fall construction at Moretz Stadium.

As a student, Kendrick served as the Director of Baseball Operations at Southwest Mississippi Community College with Hay as the Assistant Coach for the program. That relationship was a major reason that Kendrick came to Hickory.

"Working with Myles at Southwest, I knew that his work ethic and values would align perfectly with us here at Lenoir-Rhyne," commented Hay.

Kendrick also spent three years as the pitching coach at Forrest County Agricultural High School and also gained some facilities experience. Kendrick also served as the DB coach and Defensive Analyst for the football team at Forrest County.
