Ryan McDonough joins the Lenoir Rhyne Athletic Training staff for the 2022-23 athletics season and his experience at Lenoir-Rhyne has seen him work with: Men’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball,, M/W Tennis, Swimming and Softball during his time.

McDonough earned his Master’s degree in Athletic Training from Marshall University in 2021, and his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Studies from West Virginia State University in 2019 where he also played baseball for the Yellow Jackets.

Previously, McDonough had worked at Catawba College as an intern during the 2021-22 year providing coverage for the Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Lacrosse teams.

McDonough is a BOC certified athletic trainer (ATC) and licensed in the state of North Carolina (LAT). The Charleston, West Virginia native also holds certifications in First Aid and CPR through the American Heart Association as well as having certifications in RockTape FMT Basic and Advanced Blades. He is also a member of the NATA. Ryan is the son of Stephen and Teresa McDonough and younger brother to Michael McDonough.
