Paul Doroh, a 2010 Oakland Hall of Honor inductee, joined the men’s soccer coaching staff for the 2016 season and was promoted to Associate Head Coach in 2020.
Doroh helped Oakland qualify for three Horizon League tournaments with 17 wins in league play and 26 overall during the past four seasons as an Assistant Coach (2016-19).
Prior to Oakland, Doroh was a member of the Saginaw Valley State men's soccer coaching staff in 2015 under the direction of former Oakland assistant coach, Andy Wagstaff where he helped guide the Cardinals to a 15-4-1 overall record and 12-2-0 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) mark.
Doroh is a USSF National “C” Licensed coach and also serves as an assistant coach for Liverpool International Academy Michigan (formerly Force FC) and the Michigan Stars.
Doroh, a four-year starter and two-time All-GLIAC selection, helped lead the men's soccer team to a pair of national championship game appearances (1994 - Tampa, Florida, 1996 - Phoenix, Arizona) and was one of the top defenders ever to play at Oakland. During his senior camping in 1996, Doroh was elected team captain garnering All-America and All-Region honors as a part of the record-setting defense that posted seven consecutive shutouts, 738 consecutive shutout minutes and 14 total shutouts. He was invited to participate in the Umbro Senior Bowl and attended the MLS combine in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
After his collegiate career, Doroh played professionally in Savannah, Georgia and later returned to Michigan playing with the Michigan Bucks and Detroit Rockers.
Doroh began his career with Force FC in 1997-98 leading the club’s 1989 Girl’s team to several State Cup Championships and back-to-back USYSA National Champions in 2007 and 2008.
Doroh earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Oakland in 2001 and graduated from the Thomas Cooley Law School (cum laude) with a Juris Doctor Degree in 2008. He and his wife Stacy reside in Armada, Mich. and have eight children.
