Terry Sauerbry joined the Oakland athletic staff in August of 2014 as the Director of Strength and Conditioning after spending the past eight years as the head of the strength and conditioning program at Missouri State.

Prior to working with the Bears, Sauerbry served as the head of the strength and conditioning program at Rhode Island. He established the Rhode Island athletics strength and conditioning program where none had previously existed.

Before Rhode Island, Sauerbry was associate strength coach at Temple University from 1998 to 2005. Previously, he was an assistant strength coach at the University of Maryland from 1997 through 1998.

A native of Langhome, Pa., Sauerbry competed as a student-athlete on the football team at Maryland before graduating from the school in 1998 with a degree in kinesiological sciences. He also earned a master's degree in sports administration from Temple in 2000.

Sauerbry and his wife, Christine, have two children, Bruce and Brayden.
