Tim Grundmeier has spent much of his life around the beautiful game and more than a decade with the MLC men’s soccer team.

In 2022, Grundmeier became co-head coaches with Nick Schmoller, his former high school and college teammate. Prior to that, he served for five seasons as assistant coach under Paul Koelpin, his former college coach, helping the Knights to three conference tournament appearances.

As a college player, Grundmeier was a member of MLC’s conference-winning team in 2003. He was also named All-UMAC during his senior season.

After graduating from MLC, Grundmeier coached at St. Croix Lutheran Academy from 2007 to 2008. During his time in the Twin Cities, he also worked for two seasons as a head coach at

Sibley Sting Soccer Club for various age groups (U14, U17, U18).

Since moving to New Ulm, Grundmeier has coached youth soccer in the summers. He especially enjoys working with his children’s teams.
