Tom Paparounis begins his third year as an assistant coach with Illinois Tech soccer for the 2023 season. Tom started as an assistant men's soccer coach in 2021, and in 2022 he will be assisting both the men's and women's soccer programs.

Tom has spent the past twelve years as a college coach working with several programs in the Chicago area, most recently, Roosevelt University in the NAIA and Loyola University in NCAA Division I.

Before coaching, Tom played professionally in the USL PSL (League 1) in Greensboro, NC, and in the PDL in North Texas.

From the Baltimore, MD area, Tom played collegiately for Salisbury University, where he won 3 Conference Championships, made 2 NCAA Tournament appearances, and was selected First-Team All-Conference.

Tom lives in the Lakeview area and, in addition to coaching collegiately, runs Drive Goalkeeping, an organization that helps train and develop youth goalkeepers across Chicago.
