Vahid Talebloo enters his first season with the George Mason men’s soccer program for the 2023 season.

Talebloo is a former coach of theU14 Iranian National Team.  He has a U.S. Soccer B and C Coaching License license and an Asian Football Confederation (AFC) C coaching license. 

Active in the Northern Virginia area, Talebloo coached with the Arlington Soccer Association for four years and was the Director of Goalkeeping at the Arlington Girls Academy.

Talebloo, a native of Tehran, Iran, played on the international stage for the Iranian National Team at various stages, (U14, U17, U20, U23, Senior).  He represented Iran as a member of the 2006 World Cup team that played in Germany.

Talebloo spent 15 seasons in the Iranian Premier League (IPL) and was with Esteghlal in the AFC Championship League.

Nominated as the IPL’s best young player in 2003 and top overall player in 2006, Talebloo helped his clubs to a pair of championships in 2005 and 2008.  In the 2007 Hazfi Cup (Iranian Knockout Cup), he saved 8 out of 12 penalties to propel his team to a championship.  He set an IPL record of 836 straight minutes without allowing a goal.
